Applications
The Junior City Council is made up of ten students who represent the eight Councilmembers, Mayor and City Manager. At the end of the school year, the 5th graders submit applications for the positions to be filled for the next school term of the 6th grade.
Commitments
The ten students will commit to meeting the first Monday of each month of the school year. Before each Council meeting, the supervisor of the featured department for that month gives a tour of their facilities/equipment. This gives the students an opportunity to ask questions and learn how the city works.

The Board is made up of two Councilmembers, two School Board Members, 6th Grade Social Studies Teacher, Middle School Principal, two Coordinators, two citizens, and City Staff.
